Laboratory Analyses
Laboratory Analyses
Quality is ensured through specialized laboratory testing methods. Without detailed analysis, there’s a real risk that customers might receive medicinal mushroom raw materials lacking the promised levels of active ingredients—or even an entirely different mushroom species than expected.
Thanks to our proprietary analytical techniques and collaboration with independent experts, we can accurately verify the polysaccharide content in our extracts and ensure the authenticity and safety of our medicinal mushroom products.
Thorough testing ensures the safety and precision of our medicinal mushroom products.
Without thorough testing, customers could receive medicinal mushroom materials with lower-than-advertised active ingredients or a completely different mushroom species.
Our unique analytical methods and partnerships with independent specialists allow us to precisely confirm polysaccharide levels in our extracts and guarantee the authenticity and safety of our medicinal mushroom products.
Unique SEC analysis confirms the correct ingredients and mushroom species.
Before final production, all our functional mushroom raw materials are tested using a proprietary SEC (Size Exclusion Chromatography) method, designed specifically for functional mushroom identification.
By analyzing protein content according to molecular size and matching it against a reference, we generate a distinct fingerprint for each batch. This process, akin to human DNA identification, ensures our reishi extract is authentic, not powder, and verifies it is genuine reishi, not a different mushroom species.
We are the only medicinal mushroom supplier utilizing this method, which is otherwise used only by select universities.
In addition to SEC analysis, we conduct microscopic inspections for final confirmation.

SEC analysis also verifies the standardized polysaccharide levels.
We employ the SEC method to measure and standardize polysaccharide levels in our extracts, with results displayed on a chromatographic distribution curve, as shown in the image.
Our internal comparative analysis reveals that some medicinal mushroom suppliers claim 30 to 40% polysaccharide content, but the actual levels are significantly lower. This is often due to inadequate expertise and insufficient analytical methods, not necessarily intentional misrepresentation.
Such discrepancies in polysaccharide content make it challenging to ensure accurate dosing for end users of medicinal mushroom products.
Dronania Pharmaceuticals also tests our unique MycoSignature Extracts for beta-glucans, triterpenes, and cordycepins.
Agrolab examines our raw materials for contaminants
For over 15 years, the state-accredited Agrolab laboratory group has partnered with us to ensure residue control for our medicinal mushrooms.
Agrolab tests our raw material samples for more than 250 parameters, including:
- Radioactive isotopes
- Heavy metals
- Microbiological contaminants
- Pesticides
- Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
Every batch undergoes these tests to guarantee that our customers receive products meeting our stringent quality standards. Analysis reports and certificates are always provided with the products.
