Frequently Asked Questions

Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about our medicinal mushroom products. If your question isn’t listed here, feel free to explore our complete FAQ section — or reach out to us via phone or email. We’re happy to assist!

Do we ship internationally?

Yes, we offer global shipping. However, there are a few countries we currently can’t deliver to. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Do you sell directly to individual customers?

No, our products are available exclusively to businesses and organizations — not individual consumers.

Which part of the mushroom do we use?

We use only the fruiting body of the mushroom in all our formulations.

What are polysaccharides?

Polysaccharides — including beta-glucans — are long-chain carbohydrates found in mushroom cell walls. They are considered key bioactive compounds responsible for many of the health benefits associated with medicinal mushrooms.

Why is acerola added to your capsules?

Vitamin C has been shown to significantly enhance the absorption of bioactive compounds in medicinal mushroom extracts. Acerola cherry, one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C, is included in our capsules to improve bioavailability.

Are your organic products certified in the EU?

Yes, our organic production is fully compliant with current EU regulations. Contact us for certificate.

What is the shelf life of your products?

When stored properly, our capsules remain stable for up to 36 months, while extracts and powders can be kept for up to 4 years. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and ensure powder packaging is properly sealed. Always check individual product specifications for detailed guidance.

What’s the difference between organic and conventional quality?

Organic products are cultivated without synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or GMOs, in accordance with strict EU regulations. Conventional quality may permit some synthetic inputs, though we never use GMOs in any of our products.

What are functional mushrooms?

Functional mushrooms are varieties valued more for their adaptogenic and health-supporting properties than for nutritional content. Examples include reishi and cordyceps — not meant for eating but known for compounds like polysaccharides with potential wellness benefits. Scientific interest in this category has grown significantly in recent years.

Where do we ship from?

All orders are dispatched from our warehouse in Slovenia.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times depend on your location and product availability. Once we receive your order, we’ll provide an estimated shipping time.

Why don’t you list beta-glucan values?

There is currently no reliable testing method to accurately measure beta-glucan levels in mushrooms. Moreover, the effectiveness of medicinal mushrooms involves a complex profile of compounds — not just beta-glucans — so this single value can be misleading.

Do you offer white label options?

Yes, we offer white label solutions. Please contact our team to discuss your needs.

Are your products safe for consumption?

Yes, all our products meet the safety standards for human consumption as defined by current EU Regulation 178/2002.

Is a higher polysaccharide content always better?

Not necessarily. Naturally, mushrooms contain 20–30% polysaccharides, which is why we standardize our extracts to 30%. Higher levels often require repeated extraction with ethanol or other agents, which can strip away other beneficial components. In some cases, the extra polysaccharides may even be from non-mushroom sources.

What are medicinal mushrooms?

Medicinal mushrooms are a subset of functional mushrooms, traditionally used in natural medicine for their potential health benefits. They are rich in compounds such as polysaccharides, beta-glucans, and triterpenes, which are believed to have therapeutic properties. Research in this field continues to expand.

Why do mushroom powders or extracts vary in color?

Our mushrooms grow on natural substrates like wood or straw, which can vary in color. For instance, oak wood is darker than apple wood. Mushrooms absorb these natural pigments during growth, which may cause slight color differences in the final powder or extract — but this has no effect on quality or efficacy.

What are your capsule shells made of?

Our capsules are made from plant-based cellulose. We do not use gelatin or any animal-derived ingredients.
